Established in 1993, the College of Engineering began with three departments, but now  it consists of 5 departments, 3 graduate institutes and 3 research centers. They include: Departments: Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering. Graduate Institutes: Graduate Institute of Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering, Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering and Graduate Institute of Medical Mechatronics. Research Centers: Biomedical Engineering Research Center, Green Technology Research Center and High Speed Intelligent Communication Research Center.
